Beach Bums

We recently took a trip to Deleware to visit Johnathan's family and attend a family member's wedding. I forgot my camera at the wedding, but it was beautiful and the girls danced the night away! 

One of the highlights was the beach.  Cora took awhile to adjust to sand in her toes and on her pacifier. 

The same rule of the pool about snacks also applies to the beach.

Johnathan could NOT WAIT to get the girls on a boogie board.  Eva was not too excited.  We made the mistake of letting her watch the movie Soul Surfer a few months ago.  She didn't go in much past her knees.

We couldn't keep Madeline out of the water.  This one is Daddy's surfer girl.

The second biggest highlight was Funland, a sweet amusement park that has been around for over 50 years on the Boardwalk.  It was so affordable and we had to drag the girls out.  Cora LOVED the rides.  She would have gone on everything if it weren't for that silly height restriction rule!

It was hard to capture the smile, but I wish you could have heard her screaming with Joy the whole time!

Finally, what is a trip to the beach without some Mini golf?  Of course Johnthan wasn't going to allow any type of golf with poor form.

There was a sign that said "Watch out for the alligator and our invisible fish."  Eva took it very seriously.  

As always Madleine took every it very seriously.

Johnathan couldn't give up keeping score, even with the girls running everywhere.

She actually wanted to play most of the holes.  

The natives were restless.

The girls also enjoyed a break from the sand in the hotel pool.

Most of Eva's jumps of the diving board look like a ski jumper coming off the big ramp.

"Don't you take any more pictures of me now, ya hear?"  

It was a great getaway but the biggest highlight according to Eva and Madeline was getting to ride in Johnthan's cousin's Jeep.  When we first got married Johnathan had a red soft top Jeep that we sold for a "family car."  Johnathan still mourns the loss and now I think I might be outnumbered.  I see a family Jeep in the future soon if Eva and Madeline have anything to say about it.
