It's never been easy taking pictures of this one.  She has her own idea for what makes a picture great.  If I have to take 50 shots of the same scene it's usually because of Madeline.  

 And just when you think you have the shot, she poses, shifts, changes expressions and it's ruined.

 Or maybe not.  In reality, the posed pictures don't really reflect who she is.  She is the gal who can't contain the excitement, who will do anything for a laugh, especially from Eva.

 She is the one who adds true emotion to the picture, movement, animation.

Some models study poses and postures, this one just makes up on the spot. 

In the moment of taking the picture, it's easy to get frustrated with her.  "Madeline, can you JUST SMILE NORMAL?"  But months later, I wouldn't have all these gems to look back at.

And years later, it's these pictures that will help me remember who Madeline really was, not the stiff posed portraits, but the joyful, prank filled, jumping with excitement entertainer.
