It would seem more than appropriate that a large number of tornados popped up yesterday on Cora's birthday.
This one, she is my little tornado. Her pregnancy and birth were surrounded with worrisome storm clouds and uncertainty as we stressed over complications and diagnoses we could only pray about.
She came into the world tiny but powerful and leaving all who loved her in awe of how something so small could wreak such havoc on our home.
She is still small, but don't underestimate her ability to uproot any preconceived notations you may have about her.
She is strong, tenacious, bold, determined and unstoppable.
When she sets her path, beware of those who may be caught in her wake.
There is thunder in her smile and lightening in her laughter and it is as equally abundant as the fury and the storm.
She is our little tornado, but also the rainbow at the end of it. She is reckless and she is the calm. She is our disaster and our miracle.
Cora, may you harness your power for good and continue to sweep us up in the beauty and awe of you.
I hope you continue to tear through this life on the path God has set for you, letting nothing deter you from the great things he has planned. Happy Birthday!
